Cadiz vs Sevilla in Spanish Copa Del Rey

Our faithful and long-time readers will remember Soccerstuf closely covered the 2017 Promotion playoff battle from Segunda to La Liga.  The Yellow Submarine were not successful as Tenerife took them out in the first round of the playoffs, with Getafe (currently performing well in 8th place) being the ultimate winner to get pounded by Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga.

Today in the Round of 16 of the Spanish Copa Del Rey, Spain’s country-wide battle of club teams from all leagues in Spain, Cadiz has an opportunity to show what they may have accomplished had they advanced to the Primera Division. Sevilla FC is currently in 5th place in La Liga. The so-called experts are looking for the Goliath to easily take this match, however I employ to you peel away the outer layer of this Sevilla lemon.  Although a top team Sevilla has been weak away from home and has a -2 goal differential. Look for Cadiz to exploit their home-field advantage, and take advantage of Sevilla’s poor form on the road in a major upset.

The Yellow Submarine will float again!
